On Sunday, June 12, the Military Officers Association of Sarasota will join The Pops Orchestra to celebrate the 239th birthday of our nation's flag. Bring your family and your lawn chairs to this free concert featuring patriotic music by the Pops, choral selections by Gloria Musicae and a formal flag retirement and retreat ceremony. The Flag Day celebration takes place at Patriot Plaza at Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 State Road 72, Sarasota, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday, June 12.

The event is open to the general public on a first-come, first-seated basis. Concrete bench seating for 1,000 people is available. Attendees are invited to bring lawn chairs and seat cushions. Full details can be found here.
