USF to Break Ground on New $1.6 Million Student Commons Area

The area will feature a lounge with more amenities and furniture, including a gaming area, new television monitors, a coffee bar, study carrels, a pool table and foosball and ping pong tables.

USF Sarasota-Manatee will break ground this summer on a $1.6 million Student Commons area where students can study, exercise, relax and socialize. When complete this fall, the area will feature a lounge with more amenities and furniture, including a gaming area, new television monitors, a coffee bar, study carrels, a pool table and foosball and ping pong tables. Additionally, the fitness area will be expanded to allow for more workout equipment and new restrooms and lockers. Student government will gain a new conference room, as well.
