A new Aldi grocery store is scheduled to open next Wednesday, May 11, at 4525 53rd Ave. E., Bradenton. Aldi first opened in Germany in 1961 and opened its first American store in Iowa in 1976.Β It is currently headquartered in Illinois and has more than 1,500 stores in 33 states, with more than 22,000 employees.
