It's official: Aldi is headed to Wellen Park. 

The no-frills grocery store, best known for seriously speedy cashiers, low-cost produce and killer frozen goods alongside a smattering of stuff you never knew you needed (like blankets, picture frames, pet clothing and sometimes sneakers)—and those pesky grocery carts that require quarter to access—is set to open by summertime.  

The 12,000-square-foot retail store will be located on the corner of U.S. 41 and Mezzo Drive inside the new Venice Plaza near Wellen Park's Costco.

It's been a big year for Aldi, which added almost 200 new stores nationwide in 2025. With 2,600 locations, Aldi is now the third-largest grocery retailer by store count in the U.S.

While no official opening date has been set just yet, we'll let you know when we learn more.
