Attendance at this year's Suncoast Boat Show was up 9.1 percent compared to the 2015 event, according to a report issued Friday by the event's organizers. The show, which was held April 15-17, was the largest since 2001 in terms of the number of boats and exhibitors on display. The total number of boats, including new and previously owned boats, was up 5 percent over the 2015 show, while the number of new boats in-water increased 15 percent.
