Dr. Alissa Zdancewicz of West Coast Podiatry Center was recently elected unanimously to lead the Manasota Podiatric Medical Association, making her the organization’s first female president. The association is made up of area physicians whose specialty is podiatric medicine and surgery, which is focused on diagnosing and treating conditions affecting the human lower limb, including the foot, ankle and their governing and related structures, as well as local manifestations of systemic conditions such as diabetes and vascular disease.
