Sarasota's Sweet Sparkman Architects was recently invited for a second time to participate in the Venice Architecture Biennale in Venice, Italy. Todd Sweet and Jerry Sparkman have teamed with UF CityLab Sarasota to develop the exhibition, working with the master students at CityLab and program director Martin Gold on a sculptural exhibit of stories about people impacted and inspired by the beauty of Florida. The firm exhibited at the 2012 Venice Biennale with an examination of Siesta Key 99 percent quartz crystal sand.
