Last year, the rate of national Hispanic homeownership rose for the first time since 2009, according to a report released last week by the Hispanic Wealth Project and the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals. The Hispanic homeownership rate averaged 45.6 percent in 2015, up 0.2 percent from 2014. The rate reached as high as 49.1 percent in 2008. Citing Urban Institute data, the report also predicts that 52 percent of new homeowners through 2030 will be Hispanic.
