“I gave up the chance to buy the lot next door to our store here on Bee Ridge Road back in 1989. I would have had to build a building and attach it to the existing one. I had just recently taken over the business from my family, and just didn’t know if I was capable of doing that by myself. It was a mistake because I sure could use the space today; it’s our 55th anniversary at this location, and I’m always short on space.”
