Premier Sotheby’s International Realty announced this week that it recorded $7.1 billion in total company sales volume for 2020, a 37 percent increase year-over-year. The brokerage closed 8,925 transactions (a 25 percent increase over 2019) and recorded an average sales price of $795,079, a 10 percent increase from 2019.
In the Sarasota region, total sales volume was up 35 percent from 2019. The number of regional transactions increased 21 percent year-over-year and the average sales price was up 12 percent. Significant sales included the highest-priced land sale ever recorded on Longboat Key, the $13.25 million property at 4651 Gulf of Mexico Drive that is now the site of Sage Longboat Key; an $11 million residence at 139 S. Washington Drive; a $10.5 million home at 825 Longboat Club Drive; the $10.5 million estate known as Aquadisia, at 7712 and 7660 Sanderling Road; and the most expensive residential sale on Casey Key in 2020, located 2613 Casey Key Road, which closed for $6.8 million.
