Villa del Sogno, a grand beachfront estate set behind the gates of the Longboat Key Club at 825 Longboat Club Road, has sold for $10.5 million. Louis Wery of Premier Sotheby’s International Realty was the listing agent for the home, which originally went on the market at a $20 million list price in late 2017. Oliver McConnell of McConnell & Associates represented the buyers in the all-cash transaction.

Built in 2002, the residence—named, we assume, for the luxury hotel of the same name on Lake Garda in northern Italy—has just over 12,000 square feet of living space under air, with a total of 22,521 square feet including outdoor terraces. There are six bedrooms and five and a half baths. Villa del Sogno is one of only eight single-family homes in the Longboat Key Club’s Regents Court neighborhood and sits on 1.35 acres of Gulf-front with 150 feet of private beach.  

The home last sold in 2011 for $12.5 million, according to the Sarasota County property appraiser’s office. At the time it was the highest price single-family residential sale in Longboat Key history.
