No surprise, Sarasota ranks right up there in the recent national Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate Luxury Market Report. In the category, U.S. cities with the highest number of active luxury home listings $1 million and up range, Sarasota ranks 18^th. That’s 586 active residential listings as of the end of June, according to local Coldwell Banker spokesman Laitin Schwerin. “Year to date, we have 489 new listings, which is 22% higher than this time last year,” says Schwerin. “Surprisingly, with the added supply, the average sale price is up 2 percent year to date.”
