London Bay Homes is bringing its Private Label Living to Bird Key and Sarasota’s popular West of Trail neighborhoods with eight new homes in various phases of construction. The first two models, the Mandeville (on Sharswood Lane on Siesta Key) and Cedarberry (on Bird Key’s Mourning Dove Drive), will be completed this fall. Shown here is a rendering of the Mandeville.

Fifteen of 38 one-acre-plus home sites remain for sale in The Concession Residences’ upscale enclave of Parkstone Estates. Four final preserve and 11 lake-view lots start at $499,000 and $550,000, respectively, while home-and-lot packages start at $2 million. Architectural and design guidelines allow for construction of 4,800-square-feet or larger luxury residences. The Concession golf-course community is located in eastern Manatee County.

Selby Gardens is registering students now for its May 27 Orchids 101 class. Geared toward novice orchid growers, it includes a guided tour of the Gardens’ Tropical Conservatory. Register here.

The Sarasota Succulent Society’s big Memorial Day sale is Monday, May 30, at its gardens at 1310 38th St. in Sarasota, with bargain prices on many unusual varieties of succulents.
