CareerSource Suncoast has announced that United Way Suncoast is providing the organization with $40,000 in emergency support. The funds are part of more than $1.2 million of COVID-19 emergency assistance from the United Way Suncoast’s COVID-19 Response and Recovery Fund, which are being distributed to human services agencies across the Suncoast to support housing/shelter, food, childcare, financial stability and mental health services. CareerSource Suncoast will use the funds to provide additional financial support to job seekers who need to acquire and keep a job. The organization will focus on getting resources directly into the hands of clients to sustain them during this pandemic while employment opportunities are extremely limited.
