 Hello everybody,

Elephant e4pzju

It’s Mr. Chatterbox and boy, am I excited. I’m partnering with Designing Women Boutique for a trunk show featuring some pretty fabulous pieces from my renowned jewelry collection. You’ll be able to view more than 100 items—pins, bracelets, necklaces—that I’ve collected over the years. And they’re all for sale!

The date is Thursday, Oct. 27, from 10:30 until around 4. The address is 1226 N. Tamiami Trail.

My specialty are big bold statement pieces from the 1940s. The sort of jewels that Joan Crawford wore in Mildred Pierce and Barbara Stanwick in Double Indemnity. Gold-toned and sterling silver, many of them feature enormous stones pretending to be topaz and aquamarines.

Prices are incredibly reasonable. Most are $20 to $50. I hate to part with any them but my mother needs an operation.

To add a little credibility to the occasion, Judge Lee Haworth will be speaking at a special “Salon Series” luncheon at 11:30. His topic is “Therapeutic Justice.” He’s always been one of favorite Sarasota judges and believe me, I know them all. Tickets are just $20. But you do not have to attend to luncheon to view—and buy—the jewelry. That’s free.

And I’ll be on hand all day to answer questions and show you my favorites and tell you their stories. You’ll see my collection of Victorian inspired “hand” pins, not to mention all the bejeweled insects and lobsters. They will all be displayed like the midnight buffet on a cruise ship, so bring your camera.

See you Thursday!

Mr. C.
