Rufa at The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota, is a Savor Sarasota participant that's extending its prix fixe menu into the summer.

The 21st annual Savor Sarasota prix fixe dining promotion generated more than $1 million in restaurant revenue over the course of 14 days, according to Visit Sarasota County.

Local diners noshed on 6,532 lunches and 18,934 dinners, totaling 25,466 meals for a combined total of $1,015,330, according to the 86 percent of restaurants that reported their guest covers. The deals included two-course lunches for $25 person and three-course dinners for $45 per person, with many restaurants adding wine pairings or special cocktails.

"Savor Sarasota started as a smart solution for the summer slowdown, and twenty-one years later, it has become one of our community's most exciting culinary events,” Erin Duggan, president and CEO of Visit Sarasota County, said in a press release. “What impresses me every year is how our chefs and restaurateurs keep raising the bar. The attention to every detail—creative menus, the thoughtful wine pairings, and creating special cocktails—[are] all designed to give guests a truly special dining experience. I am just so proud of this incredible group of hospitality professionals!"

The dining deals aren't over yet—55 local restaurants are extending their prix fixe menus through at least tomorrow, June 30, with some continuing the deals further into the summer. Click here for the full list.
