Downtown Wellen Park has added a new tenant to The Yard, a collection of retrofitted shipping containers that give off food truck vibes while remaining stationary. The recently opened Lakeside Bites offers fresh-caught seafood, paninis and rice bowls, perfect for a light bite while taking in the neighboring lake.

“The menu highlights fresh, local ingredients and affordable prices,” owner Jamie Albano said in a press release. “We plan to have local seafood nights and to stay open late for cornhole nights, concerts and events.”

In keeping with the food truck feel, food at Lakeside Bites will be served at the counter and will complement Downtown Wellen Park’s walkability factor. Guests can also anticipate fried gator and chicken bites, loaded tots and a killer Cuban sandwich—all packaged for maximum portability.
