A Florida-based chain of Mexican restaurants is expanding into Sarasota, with plans to open a new location near the University Town Center mall this summer. The restaurant, Rocco's Tacos and Tequila Bar, specializes in enchiladas, burritos, quesadillas, tacos and salads, and pours more than 300 different varieties of tequila.

The new location will be the restaurant's ninth, joining spots in Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Naples, Orlando, Palm Beach Gardens, Tampa and West Palm Beach. The 4,000-square-foot restaurant will be located at 243 N. Cattlemen Road, Sarasota, near the Rusty Bucket Restaurant and Tavern.

Cattlemen Road, Sarasota, and will be open 11:30 a.m.-11 p.m. Monday, 11:30 a.m.-midnight Tuesday, 11:30 a.m.-11 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, 11:30 a.m.-midnight Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Sunday.
