The Conservation Foundation of the Gulf Coast is starting up a new monthly series of food truck events that will take place on Friday evenings at the organization's Osprey headquarters.

The first event will take place 5-8 p.m. on Friday, July 23, with the food truck Curb Your Appetite. Followup events are scheduled for the same time frame on Friday, Aug. 20, with Big Blue Grilled Cheese Company, and Friday, Sept. 17, with Killik's Kitchen. The foundation's headquarters is located at Bay Preserve, a 4.2-acre park on Little Sarasota Bay located at 400 Palmetto Ave., Osprey.

Big Blue Grilled Cheese Company is participating in the series on Friday, Aug. 20.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket or chairs to the gatherings, and the property's historic Burrows-Matson House will be open to the public. Attendance is free, but the food trucks will be charging for their goods. The foundation is asking people to RSVP online to make sure enough parking is available. You can RSVP to any of the scheduled events here.
