The phrase "chocolate walk" might make you think of one of those shortcuts that help you zoom up the board in Candy Land, but, in fact, it refers to an upcoming event in downtown Venice. The city's Chocolate Walk, which takes place 5-8 p.m. next Thursday, Nov. 19, will bring together chocolate lovers and 25 different businesses, stores and restaurants, each of which will offer some type of chocolate treat.

The event is being presented by Venice MainStreet, a nonprofit that works to improve and protect historic downtown Venice, and will take place on Tampa, Venice and Miami Avenues. Participating businesses will be offering chocolate snacks, drinks, ice creams and even chocolate CBD.
