No visit to the county fair is complete without corn dogs, funnel cakes and elephant ears. This weekend, a new event in Manatee County will give you the chance to eat all the fair food you want—without even having to visit the fair.

The Flavors of Our Fair, which starts in Palmetto on Friday, Oct. 16, and runs through Sunday, Oct. 18, will feature a number of food vendors whose business has been crippled by the cancellation of many public events because of the Covid-19 pandemic. The lineup includes vendors selling everything from pizza and pasta to ice cream, caramel apples and cotton candy.

Customers can either grab their food by driving through or by walking up and ordering. Entry to the event is free; face coverings are required. The festival will take place at the Manatee County fairgrounds, 1402 14th Ave. W., Palmetto. Enter through gate eight.
