Newtown Farmer's Market Reopens This Week

After being shut down because of the Covid-19 pandemic, the market will return on Friday and Saturday with new social distancing rules in place.

After being shut down for months because of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Newtown Farmer's Market will return this week with new social distancing rules in place.

The market will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. beginning this Friday, Aug. 21, and Saturday, Aug. 22, and every Friday and Saturday afterward. The market is located at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Park, at the corner of Cocoanut Avenue and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Way. Vendors and shoppers are expected to follow Centers for Disease Control and Prevention safety guidelines and wear a mask.
