Florida Beach Bar, a state guide to the best places to imbibe on the beach, has announced that Venice's Sharky's on the Pier is the winner of its 2019 Best Florida Beach Bar competition, sponsored by LandShark Lager. Beach bar enthusiasts cast votes online for more than 200 different bars, and votes were combined with Florida Beach Bar's Pink Flamingo rating to create the winning list. 

This is the second year in a row that Sharky's was voted Best Florida Beach Bar and the third time overall; Florida Beach Bar cited the restaurant's tiki bar, proximity to the Gulf, live music offerings and sunset views as reasons it topped the list. Other winners include Caddy's on the Beach in Treasure Island, Casino Beach Bar and Grille in Pensacola, Lemon Bar on Neptune Beach and Oceanside Beach Bar and Grill in Flagler Beach.
