Put on your dancing shoes and your stretchy pants, because this Thursday, May 5, you can dance and dine the night away at UTC's Cinco De Mayo Silent Disco

Cinco De Mayo, a holiday of Mexican origin, commemorates the day the Mexican army defeated the French in the Battle of Puebla Day in 1862. While it's not a major holiday in Mexico, Cinco De Mayo has gained popularity in the United States among both Mexican-Americans and non-Mexican Americans alike.

In honor of the holiday, UTC will be teaming up with Silent Vibes to bring guests a silent disco experience. Each guest will receive a pair of headphones so they can jam out to up-beat, party-time hits along with festive tunes. And what would a Cinco De Mayo celebration be without margaritas and tacos? Poppo’s Taqueria will be serving up an assortment of tacos, while Origin Craft Beer and Pizza brings along the beer and margaritas. This free event will take place from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tickets are free, but guests must register in advance.

The Cinco De Mayo Silent Disco event will take place at 257 N. Cattlemen Road. Ready to boogie the night away, register, visit UTC's website.
