Ringling College Library Association Announces 2023 Town Hall Lecture Series

Ringling College Library Association has announced the lineup for its 2023 Town Hall lecture series. The speakers are journalist Maria Ressa, 2021 Nobel Prize winner; Michael Phelps, the most decorated Olympian in history; Admiral James Stavridis, NATO's 16th Supreme Allied Commander; José Andrés, chef, restaurateur, humanitarian and founder of World Central Kitchen; and Thomas Friedman, Pulitzer Prize winning political commentator.

All five lectures will be presented at Van Wezel Performing Arts Center, 777 North Tamiami Trail in Sarasota. Morning lectures begin at 10:30 a.m. and evening talks begin at 7:30 p.m. Proceeds from the series benefit Ringling College's Alfred R. Goldstein Library and the funding of student scholarships. Since the series began in 1981, RCLA has committed more than $11 million to Ringling College of Art and Design.
