The team building the new Atlanta Braves spring training facility in North Port is holding a topping off ceremony this Friday, July 20. A topping off celebration is held when the last beam is installed atop a construction project. The new North Port stadium will host the Braves’ final game of its 2019 season, before opening fully in 2020. The ballpark will feature 6,500 fixed seats and 2,500 additional general admission seats. A number of local officials and representatives form local businesses and the team will be on hand for the topping off ceremony.
