Ringling College of Art and Design film program head Bradley Battersby was recently named Mentor of the Year by Variety magazine. Battersby was first hired to lead the college's film program in 2009, and has since "built an environment of creative experimentation that allows our students to flex their storytelling muscles while developing professional-level production expertise,” said college president Larry Thompson, according to a press release.
