In our new series, Sarasota Hot Spots, we’ll be taking you to great new restaurants and businesses, cool arts events, festivals and attractions—and more. First up: Flour Parlor, a new bakery in downtown Sarasota that just opened in the old Anna's Deli space.

The brainchild of Amy Nichols, formerly of The Lollicake Queen, Flour Parlor serves up homemade sweet treats (cookies, bars, pastries and more), as well as coffee from Orlando-based Lineage Craft Coffee Roasters and creamy, dreamy ice cream from St. Petersburg-based Working Cow Ice Cream. And, of course, fans will find those cake pops—or lollicakes—that Nichols and her crew are known for.

Click through to get a peek inside Flour Parlor--and take a look at some of those mouthwatering sweets.
