By Staff December 1, 2020

The first public hearing in front of the Sarasota City Commission for Selby Gardens' Compromise Master Plan is on the agenda for the Sarasota City Commission's regular meeting on Monday, Dec. 7, at 6 p.m.  The hearing will be focused on the requested approval of a zoning text amendment that will enable the plan—which includes a 50,000-square-foot solar array that will generate 1 megawatt of power, as well as parking, a stormwater management system, plant shop and restaurant—to be implemented.

The public can watch the hearing live here. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, there is very limited space for citizens to participate in-person. If you wish to participate remotely, email [email protected] no later than 5 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 3 and you will receive instructions. Written comments to the commissioners and for the public record are also accepted by email at [email protected].
