City Approves Quay Redevelopment Proposal
The Sarasota City Commission voted Monday to approve a development agreement for 695 residential units, 175 hotel rooms, 38,972 square feet of office space and 189,050 square feet of commercial space at the former site of the Sarasota Quay.
The Sarasota City Commission voted Monday to approve a development agreement with Quay Venture, LLC, that will allow the company to construct 695 residential units, 175 hotel rooms, 38,972 square feet of office space and 189,050 square feet of commercial space at the former site of the Sarasota Quay. Plans for the 14.7-acre property include a layout with nine blocks, a "Waterfront District and internal street network." Quay Venture, a subsidiary of Jacksonville's GreenPointe Holdings, purchased the property for $27 million in 2014.
