Stan Schultes and Sara Hand of the Bradenton business development and innovation firm Spark Growth recently attended the Smart City Innovation Accelerator program in New York City. The event was coordinated by Harvard University's TECH (Technology and Entrepreneurship Center at Harvard) program, and was attended by representatives from 18 North American cities interested in Smart Cities development. A Smart City is an urban development vision that integrates information and communication technology and city management. Schultes and Hand are involved in several Smart Cities initiatives and also work on the development of innovation districts as a progressive economic development strategy.
