Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday Starts Friday

Over the weekend, consumers can purchase certain qualifying items without paying sales taxes.

Florida's back-to-school sales tax holiday runs from Friday, Aug. 4, to Sunday, Aug. 6. During those three days, consumers can purchase certain qualifying items without paying sales taxes. The items include certain school supplies that cost $15 or less per item; clothing, footwear and certain accessories selling for $60 or less per item; and personal computers and certain computer-related accessories purchased for non-commercial home or personal use selling for $750 or less per item.
