Sales of single-family homes in Sarasota and Manatee counties were up in October after September declines caused by Hurricane Irma's landfall, according to new figures released by the Realtor Association of Sarasota and Manatee. Sales were up 2.7 percent in October over the October 2016 figure. Condo sales, meanwhile, declined by 10.4 percent. Median sales prices increased, rising by 18.1 percent in Sarasota County between October 2016 and October 2017 and by 1.5 percent in Manatee County.
