As part of a new initiative, 1,000 Google employees will volunteer with Goodwill organizations, including Goodwill Manasota, over the next three years to provide training and career coaching. Goodwill Manasota intends to focus its efforts on free classes on digital literacy skills for community members, free digital skills training for job seekers and advanced digital skills training for Goodwill employees. The Google initiative is part of a $10 million grant that the company says will assist 1.2 million Americans.
