Waste Pro, a waste collection, recycling, processing and disposal company, will celebrate the grand opening of its new SRQ Material Recovery Facility at 7921 15th St. E., Sarasota, at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 27. The facility, built in preparation for Manatee County’s conversion to a single-stream recycling system, is 4,000 square feet, and it will process up to 2,000 tons of mixed recyclables from residential and commercial sources throughout unincorporated Manatee County each month. Serving more than 1 million residential and 40,000 commercial customers from over 75 operating locations, Waste Pro is headquartered in Longwood, Florida, and maintains more than 235 exclusive municipal contracts and franchises.
