Susan Burns (Lori Sax)Wouldn’t it be great to have a panel of experts at your disposal so you could get all your questions about growing your business answered in one session? Well, hold onto this issue, because we’ve assembled 15 professionals in different fields to share "Great Ideas." They’ve answered some of your biggest questions, from how to write a press release to how to handle an IRS audit. We were also fortunate to land an interview with Sarasota winter resident Jack Trout, one of the world’s most celebrated marketing gurus. Read what he has to say about your need to establish an identity in "Who Am I?"

A déjà vu moment: Last month, four residential developers told a business audience that downtown Sarasota is ripe for thousands of units of new housing, in particular, more affordable housing for young professionals. The developers—Brad Baker of Bramar Development, Jim Bridges of Jebco Ventures, Tom Mannausa of T. Mannausa & Company and Pat Neal of Neal Communities—were panelists at an Assignment Downtown Council (a Sarasota Chamberl) event. The demand is there, they said. Most condominium units downtown are rented, and in mid-June there were only 30 homes under $200,000 in the 34236 zip code for sale. Of downtown’s 23,000 employees, half are forced to drive from outside the city—many from Bradenton and North Port. Could the construction crane be making a comeback?
