Katherine Klauber Moulton of The Colony Beach & Tennis Resort received the Tourism Leader of the Year award; and Jeannine Gray of Sarasota Jungle Gardens and Bobby Papazian of Bijou Café received the Guest Service Excellence award from the Sarasota Convention and Visitors Bureau at its annual Tourism Week Awards breakfast.

Jack Ovadia of The Beanz Man received the Longboat Key Chamber of Commerce's 2004 Small Business Person of the Year award. The company's new building at 4464 N. Washington Blvd, Sarasota, has received a beautification award from Keep Sarasota Beautiful.

John McKibbon III has established an endowed professorship at the USF School of Hotel and Restaurant Management at USF Sarasota-Manatee.

Moving and Opening

CHAMP Products has expanded to a new 65,000-square-foot facility at 2359 Trailmate Dr. in Parkland Center, Bradenton. The company manufactures heat exchangers for buses, trucks and other mobile equipment.

Trammell Crow Company has negotiated the sale of Venice Shopping Center for $6.75 million to Equity One. The seller was ING Investment Management, Inc. of Atlanta.

Enterprise Associates of Sarasota, LLC broke ground on the townhome development Marquee en Ville at Fruitville Road and Cocoanut Avenue in downtown Sarasota.

Mark Holley and Tom Brady have opened Lakewood Financial, a personal insurance and financial planning firm, at 9122 58th Dr. E., Bradenton.

Pro-Motion Notions, a Sarasota-based advertising specialty firm, has purchased Inspire Promotions of Palmetto.
