Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute recently hired medical oncologist Elizabeth Guancial, M.D., who will practice in the organization's downtown Sarasota office. Guancial is board-certified in internal medicine, medical oncology and hematology and has special interests in cancers of the breast, genitourinary and bladder. She earned her medical degree from the Harvard School of Medicine and completed her internal medicine residency at Massachusetts General Hospital. After her residency, she was awarded a fellowship at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston.
