Sarasota Magazine's 2014-2015 Giving Register

In Southwest Florida, philanthropy is a given. The question we face is where to give.
It’s not easy to decide. On this list you’ll see information about more than 400 local nonprofits—serving children and the elderly, animals and the environment, the arts, history, education and more. Their beneficiaries include veterans and circus folk, sea birds and retired racing greyhounds, mothers, orphans and artists, the past, present and future.
And, ultimately, all of us benefit from the work these organizations perform. All together, they address a multitude of needs and opportunities, making our community a rich, wonderful and inspiring place to live.
When one of these charities catches your eye, please feel free to look further—these listings represent organizations that are registered with the Giving Partner, an online resource overseen by the Community Foundation of Sarasota County, the Gulf Coast Community Foundation and the Manatee Community Foundation, with support from the Patterson Foundation. Find out more at thegivingpartner.guidestar.org.
