During the month of February, 340,465 passengers traveled through Sarasota Bradenton International Airport (SRQ) compared to 159,772 passengers in February 2021. That is an increase of 113 percent and is the highest number of passengers for the month of February in the history of SRQ.

So far in 2022, SRQ has welcomed a new airline, Avelo, which offers service to New Haven. Allegiant Air began service to Akron-Canton, Ohio, on March 3^, and to Appleton, WI on March 11. Another new airline, Breeze Airways, announced service at SRQ with nonstop flights to Hartford, Conn., starting June 4.
