Sarasota Bradenton International Airport (SRQ) reported another strong month of traffi last month, with 275,359 passengers passing through the terminal in October. That number is 86,543 more people than in September, but more than 51,000 people fewer than July, the busiest month in SRQ's history. So far this year—its busiest ever—the airport has reported 2,494,632 passengers.

SRQ also announced this week that service to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on Allegiant Airlines will begin on Friday, Nov. 19. It will be celebrating the first arriving flight at 3:29 p.m. with a water cannon salute.
