Let's Go to a Holiday Snow Park in Dade City

Snowcat Ridge Alpine Snow Park is bringing the fun of a snowy mountainside to sunny Florida.

If you are looking for a fun winter wonderland experience without having to travel out of state, bring the family to Snowcat Ridge Alpine Snow Park in Dade City, about an hour's drive north of Sarasota. This park has fun snowy slopes to tube down, holiday light shows, an igloo play area for kids and a holiday village with warm cocoa, delicious holiday treats and gifts.

The park is open 3-10 p.m. Sunday-Thursday, 3-11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Admission ranges from $24.95 to $39.95. General admission includes a two-hour tubing session and all-day access to the igloo and village. The unlimited snow tubing and general admission includes unlimited tubing time. Purchase tickets online, or pay $5 extra at the door. Prices are subject to change.

What to Bring

Layer up your winter clothing and wear closed-toed shoes. Bring extra cash to purchase gifts and food at the village and maybe a bag to store your purchases. Also pack a camera or your phone to take photos. You may want to bring blankets for the ride home.

What to Expect

Race your family and friends down the 60-foot-tall, 400-foot-long snowy slopes on an inner tube, or have the kids visit the arctic igloo, where they can build a snowman or play in snow. Stroll through the Alpine village, filled with festive holiday decorations, food and drinks and shopping. Cozy up to the campfire and make a batch of s'mores to end the night. Every night, Snowcat Ridge puts on a music and light show which can be viewed throughout the park.

Snowcat Ridge has a Covid-19 safety plan to keep guests safe. All guests must go through a temperature check at the door and answer questions about their health. They must also practice social distancing and wear masks when that is not possible. Enhanced cleaning protocols, hand sanitizer and additional signage remind guests of the precautions in place. You can also purchase face masks at the gift shop.
