Looking for some fun ways to exercise in a group while remaining socially distanced? Join Lakewood Ranch's second annual Mindful Triathlon, complete with a virtual run and in-person yoga and meditation at Bob Gardner Community Park. Log running hours with your buddies and then meet up in the park on Saturday, Nov. 14 to participate in classes run by The Yoga Shack. Outdoor yoga means there's plenty of room to spread out, so you can keep a social distance while enjoying a peaceful, fun workout.

Registration is $30, not including meals from the food trucks. Register online.

What to Bring

Bring your own yoga mat or towel for the classes. Wear comfortable workout clothes and bring a bottle of water. Wear a hat or sunglasses to block the sun. Bring extra cash if you would like to purchase food from the food trucks.

What to Expect

In it's second year, the Mindful Triathlon has moved to a partially virtual event, so participants can complete the race while adhering to social distancing guidelines. Proceeds benefit the Brain Health Initiative in Lakewood Ranch. Participants will say "peace out" to 2020, as they enjoy mindfulness practice, living in the present moment through exercise. Share your virtual 5k results by posting them on the website, where you can cheer participants on.

For more race and event information, or to find fellow registered participants, visit the Mindful Triathlon's website. Registration ends on Saturday, Nov. 14 at 9:30 a.m.
