Gerry Letendre’s career in pharmacy began in high school delivering prescriptions.  He worked for a well-respected pharmacist who genuinely loved helping people.  Under his mentorship, Gerry knew exactly what he wanted to do.  After completing his education and becoming a pharmacist, he operated two pharmacies in Salem, NH for over 47 years. Bringing his family to Florida in 2002, he decided to change more than his mailing address. Experiencing impersonal and a one-size-fits all mentality in chain pharmacies, Gerry moved back into compounding and never looked back. 

Purchasing Kinnard’s in 2007, which is now Sarasota Compounding Pharmacy, Gerry works as a trusted partner with patients and physicians creating personalized medications to meet each patient’s specific needs.  Gerry finds patients often have a better response to a customized dosage form that is “just what the doctor ordered”.

Actively involved in his profession, he’s served as President of the NH Board of Pharmacy, Treasurer of Sarasota Society of Health-Care Pharmacists, and preceptor for UF’s College of Pharmacy and LECOM School of Pharmacy. He’s a member of PCCA (Professional Compounding Centers of America), Alliance for Pharmacy Compounding, Florida Pharmacy Association and LDN Research Trust.

Sarasota Compounding Pharmacy works with physicians, veterinarians, dentists, and other health care practitioners to prepare patient-specific medications through innovative compounding.
