MISSION: To help build and foster strong families and expand the potential of young children.
The Florida Center is a place where miracles happen for children with developmental delays or disabilities, and their families. A comprehensive array of services helps children reach their full potential. Early education and therapy are offered on-site, including mental health, occupational and speech/language therapies. Mental health therapists also serve at-risk children in local elementary schools.
- 3,000-plus children and families served every year.
- 90 percent of every dollar goes back into our programs.
- 14,0000-plus hours of developmental and mental health therapy provided annually
With one in six children struggling with mental, behavioral or developmental disorders, your charitable contribution directly benefits vulnerable children and their families. Visit our website or call to learn how you can make a difference.
For more than 40 years, The Florida Center has been providing life-changing programs for these children and their families. The agency offers developmental therapies, mental health counseling, Starfish Academy preschool, the Healthy Families home-visiting program, and the state’s only Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders clinic.
