Revered Lake Forest Boutique Debuts Spring Line to Benefit Selby Gardens and Mote Marine Lab

Ellen Stirling brings a highly sought-after European designer to the Hyatt Regency March 1–3.

Presented by The Lake Forest Shop February 18, 2021

Ninety-nine years ago, Ellen Stirling’s grandmother discovered Coco Chanel on a trip to Paris and just couldn’t stop shopping. She returned to Lake Forest and cleaned out her closets to start The Lake Forest Shop.

Today, Stirling continues the tradition, bringing one of Europe’s most sought-after designers, Algo of Switzerland, to Sarasota. It’s clear that fashion and passion run through Ellen’s genes, inherited not only from her grandmother but also from her uncle, the late Condé Nast, who built Vogue magazine.

Fashion designer Bill Blass once proclaimed Lake Forest women to be among the best-dressed in the country, and credited The Lake Forest Shop as one of the reasons—clients love the intimate shopping experience, high fashion, and consistent quality in everything from jeans to evening dresses.

Algo of Switzerland, another third-generation rarity, is worn by Europe’s most sophisticated and discerning women—among them Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge; the Queen of England; the Empress of Japan; and the Marchioness of Salisbury. These are clothes that will make any woman look and feel beautiful, whether on a casual coffee run or chairing an evening gala.

Please join Ellen Stirling and Algo of Switzerland owner and designer Nicolas Goetschel from Monday, March 1, through Wednesday, March 3, at the Hyatt Regency Sarasota as they present the Spring 2021 Collection and support local favorites Selby Gardens and Mote Marine Lab. Ten percent of sales over the three-day period will be donated to these well-loved organizations.

The Lake Forest Shop will be at the Hyatt Regency Sarasota, 1000 Blvd of the Arts in the Ringling Room, from Monday, March 1, through Wednesday, March 3, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. A Champagne reception will take place on Monday, March 1, from 5 to 8 p.m.
