Easterseals Happiness House strives every day to change the way the world defines disabilities— whether physical, intellectual, emotional or social—by making profound and positive differences in the lives of our clients and their families, empowering them to live their lives to the fullest.
Our inventory of exceptional services for people with disabilities includes behavioral, occupational, physical and speech therapies as well as equine-assisted therapies at InStride Therapy, now a part of the Easterseals family. Our educational platforms serve students Pre-K through 12th grade, offering classes to individuals with disabilities of up to 22 years. Adult services include day training programs as well as employment opportunities to help create financial independence, including for those with autism and other developmental disabilities. Enrichment programs offered at the agency embrace art and music programs as well as yoga and gardening in partnership with Operation Eco Vets’ organic garden on our main campus. Family support services focus on coping mechanisms and even respite, both in-home programs and various on-campus retreats.
Individualized programs are designed to meet the needs of our clients whether teaching nonverbal, deaf students a new form of communication through American Sign Language or helping an adult gain meaningful employment at downtown Sarasota’s burgeoning coffee and ice cream shop Rise & Nye’s with customized virtual reality job training. Overall and together, our campuses thrive to build the confidence of those we serve. Operating in Manatee and Sarasota counties, the 75-year-old agency creates solutions that allow abilities to shine, every day.
