As eager as we all might be to get out to our beautiful beaches, they remain closed in both counties due to the effects of Hurricanes Helene and Milton.

In Sarasota County, all beach parks, including Siesta Key Beach, will remain closed until further notice as efforts continue to mitigate damage and restore access for residents, business owners, and utilities to the area.

In Manatee County, although access to the barrier islands has been restored, beaches are also closed for storm repairs and debris removal until further notice. Even though some beaches may look ready for use, county officials emphasize that others still require significant work. We'll keep you posted as we learn more about reopening.
