Goodwill Manasota CEO Bob Rosinsky Retires After 50 Years

Plus more local hires, promotions and scholarships.

Goodwill Manasota announced longtime president and chief executive officer Bob Rosinsky will retire after serving the Goodwill system for 50 years. Donn Githens will take over the leadership role beginning Friday, July 1. Goodwill Manasota has emerged as a leading organization under Rosinsky's helm.

Sarasota Memorial Healthcare Foundation announced that Stacey Corley will join the organization as president beginning Tuesday, Sept. 6. Corley succeeds Mason Ayres, who announced his retirement in May. Corley served as vice president for advancement at Ringling College of Art and Design and has held leadership positions with other local organizations.

Dan Ceaser, head of school of Hershorin Schiff Community Day School, was recently selected to serve on the Alumni Council of the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Ceaser's term begins on Friday, July 1, and will run for four years.

Forty Carrots Family Center welcomes two members to its board. Valerie Dall'Acqua—a Premier Sotheby's International realtor—and Joleen Searles—a Searles & Gornitsky partner—will serve three-year terms supporting Forty Carrots' mission of nurturing healthy child and family development.

Bank of America named Stephenie F. Whitfield as its new business banking market executive of Southwest Florida. She will lead a team of bankers that serve companies with annual revenues between $5 million and $50 million.

The Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce hosted its 32nd annual Frank G. Berlin, Sr. Small Business Awards on Friday, June 17, where 27 businesses were honored. Winners in all nine categories included PGT Innovations; J2 Solutions, Inc.; Trade Mark Interiors; Lightspeed Voice; Around the Way Transportation; Children First; Dapper Bowtique; Grapevine Communications; and Goodwill Industries Manasota, Inc.

Michael Kessie of Bradenton has been appointed to the State Retirement Commission by Gov. Ron DeSantis. Kessie is the former chief of police for New College of Florida and Law Enforcement Academy Advisory board chair for Suncoast Technical College.
