Florida Sen. Shevrin Jones has launched "Operation BlackOut," a project geared toward registering BIPOC voters to vote-by-mail. In Florida, there are more than a dozen organizations that are focused on registering voters, but Operation BlackOut is the only organization focused on using vote-by-mail to expand the electorate by increasing turnout among Black, Brown and young voters who are registered but do not vote. The program expects to enroll more than 40,000 voters into vote-by-mail.

As part of the launch, Jones and several guests will appear in Sarasota today, Feb. 11, at Whitaker Park from 2-3 p.m. For more information, click here.
